Transport your message through emotion
To get people to care about our ideas, we make them feel something. Decisions are made on feelings about facts, not on fact themselves.

Everybody’s gotta story. What’s yours?
Here’s my client Andrea’s story:
As the newly-elected president, Andrea was expected to give the keynote at the annual conference her organization sponsored. She wanted to establish her authority and leave an impact with the international audience of peers. As a former professor, she was used to speaking in public, but not in a foreign language. Speaking English in public killed her confidence. We re-wrote her speech so that it used more vivid language, correct English, and the right balance of emotion and logic. Then we struggled for weeks to find the right story. We gently pushed her to keep looking and not settle for the second best story.
The persistence paid off. The right story was found and her speech took on momentum that was truly moving. Any language difficulties Andrea had now paled against the power of her authenticity. When sharing her own personal experience, she discovered her natural voice, the same one she uses with family and friends. She sent us a text message right after the event:
“My speech was great, everybody was totally impressed!! A lot of applause!! Everybody said, it was really from my heart and touched everybody. Thank you from the heart! “
Each person has a story to tell. When you can speak from that place of personal experience, added with your professional expertise and passion, you will be authentic. Authentic means you talk naturally. Authentic means you naturally know what to do with your hands. Authenticity means you remember to breathe.
