Conferences can be a great source for just not networking with colleagues, but also to bring momentum into your everyday life. When is the last time you left your desk and ventured out to soak up new ideas and admire the creative endeavors of your colleagues?
At this year’s European Speechwriters and Business Communicators Conference, I found inspiration and new insights at this worthwhile gathering of creative minds.
One of my favorite speeches was from Hans Kristian Amundsen, the former speechwriter of the Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, who shared what he learnt about speechwriting from his experiences during the terrorist attack in Norway in 2011: “Governing a country through speeches”.
Next time you get an invitation to meet up with similar minds, why not? You’ll come back to work refreshed and refueled.
